This quilt has been added to the pile to be taken to Sarah's the next time I am headed her direction.
I have misplaced the pattern somewhere in my mess so I can't tell you the name or designer. I did make a few changes. Since I wanted to use the 2.5 inch squares that I already had I decided to make the geese one piece instead of using 1/2 sq triangles. The quilt measures 64 inches square before washing. Super easy quilt to put together - trimming up the large 1/2 sq triangles was no fun at all, but once that was done I enjoyed making the top.
UPDATE: Thanks to Debra I have the name of the quilt - Glory Bound by Paula Barnes.
This is a very pretty scrap quilt - I love working with HSTs, so this looks like something on my to-do list.
ReplyDeleteOooh, Norece, it's gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see it in person!! You're the best!!
ReplyDeleteI think that this pattern came from the Dec./Jan. 2012 issue of Quilt (it was on the cover - designer Paula Barnes). I bought this magazine specifically for that quilt pattern - I loved it! I've started cutting scraps to make it one day! Seeing your quilt inspires me to keep cutting! Your generosity will bring happiness and comfort to a very special person!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra. The name of the pattern is Glory Bound.
