Here is my last Quilt of Valor for the year.
My granddaughter was home from school for a few days. So she decided she wanted to help me make a quilt. I let her pick the pattern and fabrics. I did the cutting and tried to show her how to sew a 1/4 inch seam - wasn't very successful at it. She was here for three days and when she went home each night I took out her seams and resewed them. She came back today and with her mother's help, quilted it. I did the binding. It measures 71 inches square before washing.
Does anyone else think it looks like a giant Swoon block?
BeaUUUUtiful! Yes. It does look like a swoon! ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - I love quilts made from one block! Is this from a pattern? If not, would you share your cutting instructions so others can make one? Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! My first thought was that is was a giant Swoon block :)
ReplyDeleteI thought it -was- a giant Swoon block! But now I think I can see the differences. That would be a great quilt for fabric that's too gorgeous to cut.
ReplyDeleteI made a giant swoon and this sure looks similar. I used mine for the back of a 16 block swoon quilt.Yours is wonderful. congrats on the finish.
ReplyDeleteShe did a nice job picking fabrics and pattern. I don't even know what a swoon is... but I like this quilt!
