Quick VA Quilt

Well, it is quick if the quilter doesn't take 2 months to bind it - LOL.  This one is for our local Veteran's Hospital. Easy to do:  1.  take twenty 9 1/2" squares (a good stash busting size) and lay them out as you would like them to be.  I lay them with a horizontal layout because they will be over the foot of a bed or across a lap while in a wheelchair. 2.  Label the squares - so they stay in order and sew them in rows. 3. Sew the rows together and your flimsy is done. 4. Quilt it (thank you, Carol!).  5. Bind and label.

What are you working on?

  1. That is a nice simple quilt, very special with the eagle, etc... and perfect for a Veteran!

I have recently blogged about a quilt I finished for a young lady who is soon to "graduate" from an orphanage here in Tokyo.

Thank you for this blog, Beth and Sarah!
