Caregiver's Quilt

This is a quilt I made for my mother's caregiver. She celebrated a birthday this week.  I used the pattern Fly Away by Bonnie Olaveson/Cotton Way. That is a lot of fly geese, 360 of them. It took a few days to make and trim the flying geese, other than that it went together very nicely. Since I made geese using a different method, I used less fabric than the pattern called for. Measured about 63x75 before washing.

  1. WOW!!! That is ONE amazing quilt!

  2. What a wonderful gift. I love the flying geese.

  3. Such a beautiful quilt!! This pattern is on my bucket list. Your mom's caregiver is very lucky to have such a wonderful quilt gifted to her!!

  4. What a sweet gift. It's beautiful. I know it will be a blessing to her.

  5. Stunning, first time i've seen this quilt actually made; i'd seen it originally in ??cotton threads?? catalog and was completely smitten.
what different method did you use for making the flying geese?? i am very interested in flying geese...
