ReplyDeleteI put in two at the guild last month. Both for the Veterans.
ReplyDeleteI use "love quilts" for gifting to people I visit in the hospitals. I gave one yesterday to a parishioner and am having another blessed tomorrow so it can be gifted on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteWe have a great group of ladies at my church that piece the tops and then I quilt them on my midarm machine.
Love the idea of this blog!
I am making some baby quilts to give later this summer in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Beth! You know me - I'm always donating quilts! And I'd like to call your attention to a new and very current need - check out this blogpost....

I'm really worried about the author - her own town was evacuated today! But it looks like a worthy cause...
Great idea, I mostly donate to Project Linus. Would love to see what other quilters are doing. Thanks for starting the blog.
ReplyDeleteI love this blog idea! Add me to the list I would love to contribute!
ReplyDeleteI'm in. The more words and ideas gets out the more participation from the generous souls of quilters. I donate throughout the year mostly to people/groups I read about on blogs. Currently working on something for the group Sarah notes above.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I hope to have something to post soon,
ReplyDeleteI'm in too. I donate my quilts to the Guardian ad Litem office in Asheville, NC. In case you are not familiar with the program: "A Guardian ad Litem is an advocate for a child whose welfare is a matter of concern for the court. In legal terms, it means "guardian for the lawsuit". When the court is making decisions that will affect a child's future, the child needs and deserves a spokesperson - an objective adult to provide independent information about the best interests of the child. While other parties in the case are concerned about the child, the Guardian ad Litem is the only person in the case whose sole concern is the best interests of the child, and he or she is assigned as an advocate for the child for the duration of the court process."
ReplyDeleteThe kids need something that is theirs as they move through the process.
Me too! I donate to QOV, Hands 2 Help and Ronald McDonald's House. What a great inspiration this blog will be, new quilt ideas, new places to donate. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's quilts. Thanks for getting this started.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea Beth! I would love to post about my charity quilts, thanks so much!
