Eeek
May 2015
This is a log cabin quilt. To understand the name I chose, you may need to zoom in on the picture to see the actual fabric – I think it’s perfect for a boy’s quilt!
I donated this quilt visa vie the Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge 2015. I chose to donate it to Nita who blogs at Because You Matter since her goals and focus are similar to mine: to make and give a quilt to a person who is having a hard time and would be comforted by a handmade quilt to snuggle up in, particularly children in foster care.
I do love this quilt! Great layout and colors! Thanks for participating in the Challenge this year!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is always fun digging through the scrap bin to find fabrics that work together. Then the real fun begins in finding a pattern that will allow the fabrics to really "shine"!
DeleteWhen making boy's quilts, my husband is a great sounding wall and has great ideas for block layout.
The quilt is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteVery lovely quilt. Awesome H2H quilt.

DeleteIt's a beauty! I, too, made a quilt (smaller than the one you made!) for Because You Matter - sounds like a great charitable group!
ReplyDeleteI am becoming enamored of orange fabrics ... am currently working on one with orange and teal as big colors in the design. I think of orange as a modern color ... as I keep seeing it in many of the trendy modern print designs.
Oh my goodness, I am so excited to get home from holidays and see it in person! You are awesome!!,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like it! Thanks!
