This quilt is made from the pattern - "Fine Print" - by Crazy Old Ladies.
There are 15 rows of various sizes of I Spy fabrics. The pattern calls for 16 rows but I ran out of prints so I stopped at 16 rows. I left off one of the smallest rows.It took longer to cut out the squares than it took to sew the top together. I was able to use each fabric once, except when I was able to cut out 4 different dogs from one print. I have a Noah's Ark print that I was able to cut out many different animal from.
I wanted to make a I Spy quilt with a pattern I hadn't used before and this one was perfect. I bound it in a multi colored polka dot fabric.
Measures 48 x 64 before washing. This quilt will be given to Ronald McDonald's House.
I absolutely love this one!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that? What a wonderful idea...
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. I love idea of using different size blocks. Great gift.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen an Eye Spy quilt that mixes the size of the blocks. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteThat is great! I love that the blocks are different sizes.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to use up scrappy squares of all sizes. I'm gonna remember this one. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pattern I've not seen before! Like how it mixes the sizes of blocks.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting....(Remember Artie Johnson on Laugh In?)
ReplyDeleteIt could be a matching game, too. Match the large with smaller blocks.
